Shame on the 5 Justices of the Supreme Court! The struggle to allow African Americans to vote, to run for office, to hold office took place all over the US; Shirley Chisholm was part of that struggle in Brooklyn. In her name and in the name of the millions who voted to EXPAND and EXTEND citizen participation we must rededicate to a long and protracted struggle for human rights.
It is just as important now as it was in 1963 to unite in Washington, D.C. this August to attend the 50th Anniversary March for our civil rights. Please visit here for more information.
