In 2013, The Shirley Chisholm Project is dedicated to honoring Shirley Chisholm- the teacher and the signifying the struggle for public education. Recently, the Chisholm Project was one of the supporters of the conference, Reclaiming the Conversation on Education held at Barnard College. This project is focused on providing a forum for and promoting the voice of educators concerned about the education system's focus on testing and standardization.
